Initiative - Earth Day
The civic association OZ EKO ĽUDIA invites other organizations, schools, companies and enterprises to take part in the Earth Day celebrations. We invite other people to develop some practical ecological activity as part of Earth Day, which is celebrated every year on April 22. We are preparing various activities such as the Ecologists' Forum, forest path cleaning and the Get Involved initiative. Call for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. Participate with us in Earth Day activities through various activities such as planting trees, planting edible and useful plants, cleaning the school surroundings or cleaning the school premises, ecological lecture, ecological discussion, visit to the ecological center and others. See our ideas and implementations as inspiration.
Initiative - Mandalas of Happiness and Peace
In 2007, we came up with the idea to turn neglected areas in our city into areas full of flowers, colors, scents and insects. We realize beautiful floral circles that bring peace, beauty and well-being to the public space. We call on other people to join the Mandala of Happiness and Peace Initiative and build their circle of happiness and peace.
Initiative - Trees of Happiness and Peace
Trees are the basis of life. They give us shade, wood, fruit, crops, clean the air. They are the basis for the existence of life on this planet. We cannot exist without them. Therefore, it is important to take care of them and make additional plantings. We focused on planting edible and medicinal trees. We do plantings within our city.

Initiative - Botanical gardens around the world
In 2021, we came up with the idea to support the construction of new botanical gardens around the world. We are convinced that botanical gardens are a source of wisdom, beauty, inspiration, well-being and, above all, seeds for others interested in cultivation. We started building the first botanical garden in Karonga, Malawi, Africa. We look forward to working with the Mtuli Foundation to create a new beautiful dining garden full of delicious fruit.

Ecologists Forum
Since 2015, we have been preparing an event full of new knowledge in the field of ecology. We meet at the Forum of Ecologists on University premises at the Technical University of TUKE Košice. We invite experts to address various scientific challenges related to new knowledge and practices to improve the environment.

Initiative - Protection of the gravel pit Krásna nad Hornádom
The beautiful water area, the locality of the Krásna nad Hornádom gravel pit, is gradually being filled with construction waste. It is a quiet water area where you can sit and look into the water and relax. In times of climate change, it is essential not only to protect such bodies of water but also to start building them. We call on the city management, the Košice self-governing region, the Ministry of the Environment, the Slovak Environment Agency, the Fishermen's Association to develop an initiative to stop backfilling. We thank you.
Competition for the most beautiful village of the Hornád Microregion
There are 17 municipalities in the Hornád Microregion. With the help of the competition for the most beautiful village of the Hornád Microregion, we want to create competitiveness and an effort to improve living conditions and maintain cleanliness and order in these villages. We want this HORNÁD Microregion to become the most beautiful in Slovakia.

Initiative - Protection over the oceans
The civic association OZ EKO ĽUDIA proposes the establishment of a Global Conservation Park in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. We want these oceans to become a place for fish and animals so that they can reproduce and live in peace. We want to ban fishing and other human activities that threaten this site with overfishing and environmental degradation. We design protection above and below the water surface. We want these sites to become a source of biological diversity for marine mammals and fish to maintain a global balance.
